Food hall in Orlando’s Avalon Park expected to open by September

ORLANDO, Fla. – The owners of Orlando’s newest food hall, Marketplace at Avalon Park, hope to have its grand opening in September.

Marketplace at Avalon Park is located at 3801 Avalon Park E. Blvd.

The food hall will have space for 11 vendors, according to a company spokesperson, and all the spaces have been filled.

Tipitina’s to open coffee shop and bar with live music next door on Tchoupitoulas

Legendary local music venue Tipitina’s plans to expand by opening up a coffee shop next door that will also serve as a bar and live entertainment venue at night. 

The City Planning Commission approved the plans in a unanimous vote on Tuesday (July 27), with the provision that all music must be indoors with windows and doors closed.

The coffee shop will be on 4331 Tchoupitoulas St., in a building previously used as a commercial short-term rental space known as Tchoup House. The venue has a rear patio and upstairs deck.

Postmasters Coffee and Bakery has something for every coffee shop enthusiast, from foamy lattes to hot mocha’s and everything in-between. 

Located at 11235 Buchanan Trail East in Waynesboro, the shop opened in early June and since has been dazzling the taste buds of its customers. 

Abby said the name for their business was inspired by values that they saw in the postal service, drawing inspiration on how it connects people. “The post office became the gathering place for those in town; something we desire is to be the gathering place for our community.”

Guru Donuts will take over Boise State University open coffee shop spot

In April, BoiseDev told you about Boise State Dining Services searching to fill the vacant coffee shop space in Albertsons Library that was previously held by Big City Coffee. 

The university’s finalists for the spot were Guru Donuts, Poppy Seed Bakery + Cafe, Urban Fox Coffee & Boba, and Push & Pour. After receiving feedback and hearing pitches from the vendors, Guru Donuts will take over the spot.
